Since joining Willbox in February this year, Emily Webb has been lucky enough to work with the sales team at our Nursling site rather than being forced into remote working by pandemic restrictions. “We all get on really well and I am learning so much,” says Emily.
Level 3 Qualification in Customer Services
Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study, allowing the apprentice to work alongside experienced staff and gain job-specific skills whilst spending around 8 hours a week studying. This method of learning is ideal for Emily, who prefers to take a practical course and earn as she learns rather than continuing in standard education.
Being based in the office means she has quickly got to know the team and start learning customer service skills, and she has been able do all her research and tasks set by her training advisor from her desk, where she has all the resources to hand.
Willbox training in Customer Services
Emily was keen to work in a sales environment and is quickly picking up the key information that helps customers find the right shipping container for their needs. Willbox offers a range of new and used containers for sale and hire, in addition to site accommodation units and bespoke containers, so there is plenty to learn.
“I help out with administration and paperwork and I really enjoy taking calls and speaking to customers,” beams Emily. “The office environment is very sociable and we all get along very well – it is a great way to learn about good customer service.”
A rosy future
Sales Executive Tom Williams is supervising Emily in her apprenticeship and is delighted with her progress, commenting: “Emily is a pleasure to work with, and after three months she is already an asset to our team.”
As for Emily, she’s already looking at moving to live closer to Willbox and hopes that she will progress to becoming a Sales Executive once she finishes her Apprenticeship next February. “It’s a fantastic learning environment and Willbox have really helped me understand how to give the best service to customers,” she says. “I would certainly encourage others to take up apprenticeships, especially with Willbox!”
We look forward to working with Emily as she grows in confidence and experience. If you are looking for an apprenticeship opportunity please check our Careers page here or contact us.
