Open Top Container

Open top containers, as the name suggests, are shipping containers that have an open top, which means they lack a solid roof and can be loaded or unloaded from the top. The open top of this type of container is beneficial for types of cargo that are too high and can’t fit into standard shipping containers. As with all our shipping containers, you can either hire or purchase our open tops in 20ft or 40ft lengths.    

Open top shipping containers are flexible and convenient when it comes to loading and unloading cargo. Their open roof helps cranes, forklifts, hiab cranes and other lifting equipment to place goods straight into the container, which saves you time, labour and costs especially if whatever you are storing is too tall to fit into a standard shipping container.

• Storing machinery, equipment, or structures that cannot fit within the dimensions of a standard container
• Storing bulk goods such as grains, coal, ores, construction materials, scrap metal, and other loose commodities that can be loaded from the top
• Storing large pipes, tanks, or sculptures, can be accommodated in open top containers.
