Storage containers come in a range of different types and sizes, from 5’ up to 45’. The smaller storage containers are predominantly used in the domestic market for storage on buildings sites, and overflow storage for businesses, however individuals requiring extra space in residential areas are more frequently using them.
Some of the containers that meet ISO standards are often referred to as shipping containers, and these can be CSC Plated (The International Convention of Safe Containers) which qualifies the container to be lifted whilst loaded, and transported via road, rail, and sea.
These containers are typically 20’ shipping containers and 40’ shipping containers, and these again come in a number of different variations; although the vast quantity are standard GP (General Purpose) or DV (Dry Van) containers.
The phrase ‘intermodal containers’ implies that these standardised shipping containers can be moved across different modes of transportation (such as Ships, Trains, and Lorries) without having to unload the cargo.
The range of containers that Willbox can provide are listed below, however do keep in mind that we can offer bespoke container sizes; more information on which can be found on our container conversions page.
