Topographical Surveys

As part of our site layout design service, we can arrange for a local representative to undertake a topographical survey. These are ideal for when you are considering groundworks or development and are a great feature to include with your planning applications if needed. A surveyor will measure the height and position of features onsite.

Topographical surveys will detail natural and artificial features, these include:

Natural Features:

• Slopes/ height of the land features
• Waterways, ponds & lakes.
• Featured trees
• Woodland & vegetation

Artificial features:

• Boundaries (walls, fences and hedgerows)
• Roads and access points
• Foot paths, tracks & verges
• Existing buildings
• Services (BT,CATV, Gas, Water, Electric)
• Drainage points & manhole covers

When designing a site plan a topographical survey can save a lot of costly mistakes down the line.
