If you’re looking to hire a shipping container for domestic or commercial use, look no further than Willbox. With 20 depots nationwide, Willbox can provide ISO shipping containers and storage containers anywhere in the UK. Read our FAQ below, or get in touch to request a quote.
What size container can I have?
Willbox has a fleet of storage and shipping containers, from 5’ x 5’ to 45’ x 8’. The most common container hired is a 20’ x 8’ ISO Shipping Container; Willbox has over 1000 of these on hire at any given time. Our containers range in terms of their type, including side opening (open siders), tunnel containers (double doors), open top containers, refrigerated, insulated, and offshore DNV.
How do I hire a container?
This is the easy part, and it’s up to you. Although we love talking to our customers about their container requirements, we understand that time is valuable; so you can email us at email@example.com with your details, or request a call back via our contact page.
What happens after I accept a quote?
Once you accept our quotation, all you have to do is wait. Willbox will ask you all the necessary questions to ascertain whether your plot can site a container, or if the delivery lorry can fit down your road; so as long as there are no obstructions when we arrive, you can be assured of receiving the container. Our drivers will also wait with you, and make sure that the container is level, and opens and closes properly.
What colour container can I have?
Although the most common colours are blue and green, containers can be painted to suit your needs. We can also add any logos or text to containers using vinyl stickers. There is an additional charge for any containers that require a bespoke colour scheme or livery.
Is it expensive to hire a shipping container?
Surprisingly not. People see the huge containers full of goods travelling up and down the motorways and assume that the huge steel boxes are incredibly expensive. Containers are a commodity, and therefore with a huge supply the cost becomes much lower.
Willbox currently hire containers to customers from £1 per day; when you consider this against self-storage or renting warehouse space, secure onsite container storage is easily the most affordable way to store your goods.
How do I pay for container hire?
We accept all payment types, whether it be Direct debit, BACS, cheque, cash, Debit or Credit card (American Express currently not available). Our first invoice is for 4 week rental, delivery, and collection; this must be paid prior to delivery. After that you will receive a monthly invoice for the rental of the container only.
What do I do when I’m finished with my container?
When you are finished with you container all you have to do is give us a call and let us know. Unfortunately we cannot accept off-hires over the phone, as we require written confirmation. A member of our sales team will provide you with an off-hire number, and arrange a date for the collection of the container.
We require a minimum of 7 days notice to off-hire your container, so if you need it collected on a specific date, make sure you call early to guarantee the collection. You will also need to clear your account with us.
